Amy was raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In 1996, she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), magna cum laude, with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. While pursuing her degree at USM as a full time student, Amy also worked full time as a sheriff’s deputy/correctional officer for the Forrest County Sheriff’s Department. Amy later returned to Forrest County during the course of her legal studies to intern as an Assistant District Attorney.

Amy received her Juris Doctorate from the Tulane School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1999, after which she moved to Pensacola, Florida where she practiced until 2010. During that time, Amy worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Escambia County, Florida. In 2001, Amy began practicing exclusively civil litigation, including personal injury claims involving not only automobile accidents but also premises liability cases, first party coverage disputes, construction defect and PIP litigation.

In 2006, Amy joined as partner in the formation of a law firm representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation where she worked until moving to Orlando, Florida in 2010. As a result of representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Amy has a unique perspective on litigating personal injury claims. This experience often time allows her to anticipate the opposing counsel’s strategy and assists in the preparation of her clients’ cases.

Since relocating to the Central Florida area, Amy continues to focus her practice in civil and commercial litigation. She is licensed to practice in all Florida and Alabama state courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.
